reflected architecture and facades

Every so often I go through sections of my Lightroom photograph catalogues and add more detailed keyword tags; I find it a good task to do when I’m a bit tired but still want to be productive. I came across a series of photographs taken in New York two years ago which I’d forgotten about and which, on revisiting with a fresh eye, I liked for their layered and illusionistic take on street photography. I added the keywords architecture, facade, lights and reflection to the more general New York. Maybe I should have added the tag spangly suit which was the initial inspiration for taking the photograph, but that would be a pretty niche category!

Here are some new photographs featuring reflected facades, but this time reflected in water with resulting distortions. The images were taken in the Dorsoduro region of Venice, right by where I used to live  when I was a student there:
